God of ALL Seasons

“If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.”

2 Timothy 2:13

As I was spending time with God today, He began to remind me of everything me and my family have been through. All the struggles and the pain, He opened my eyes to see how far He has brought us as a family, and above all His faithfulness. There have been situations when I honestly thought that I had hit rock bottom and not even God could mend the situation or heal the pain. Each time we faced a storm I would just cry and complain and ask God where is He. I didn’t understand why God would allow all this to happen, but even in my lack of faith and unfaithfulness towards Him, God was still faithful. When I complained and questioned Him and turned my back on Him God was still faithful.

God knew that I was young then, spiritually and physically speaking and that I didn’t understand His ways. I was still growing in God back then, but now as I was thanking God for what He had done He asked but now that I am older in Him will I praise Him if I went through the same thing again. See, God is a faithful God period. Our lack of faithfulness and faith does not diminish God and His ability in any way. He is faithful to the end. However, when we begin to grow in God and in Spirit we begin to understand that everything works together for the good of those who love the Lord. This means that ever trail, test and storm as long as your remain in God WILL bring glory to His name and it will be your testimony.

We are all alive today purely by the grace of God and we are what we are today because of Calvary because God is faithful till the end. We need to start being faithful to God. Yes, our faithfulness will never measure up to His but that is not an excuse not to try at all. God is our Father and our saviour in all seasons and it is about time that we start becoming His children in all seasons. We cannot praise God when things are only good because it really pleases God when we please Him when things seem bad. What that does is tell our God that we trust Him not matter what happens we trust Him relentless and we will walk with Him till the end!
