Know God For Yourself
“Our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:1&2
The role of any leader in your church, whether your pastor or prayer leader, is not to replace God. So often Christians run to different men and women of God for answers to prayer instead of seeking God for themselves. See, Christ died, He up gave everything so that you didn’t have to go through people to get to God! Jesus came down and became your access point to the throne of grace. You do not need anyone else to know God, you can know Him and know His heart for yourself, through the Holy Spirit.
Looking for divine help from any other source but God is how so many people get lead astray and never really find the truth from God. The bible has already warned us that there will be false prophets and deceivers out there, so don’t fall victim to lies. When you take time out to actively seek God for yourself, firstly you will get all the answers you need from God. Secondly, you can ask the God for the spirit of discernment, so when you are being told “the Lord said” you will be able to know whether the Lord really said it or not.
Don’t disqualify yourself and think that you can never be this person or that person. You don’t need to be because that position is already filled. God wants you to be you, there is nothing that, that person you envy so much has that God hasn’t given to you. The anointing of God is freely available to His children you just have to get to know God and get into His Word.
How to Know the Lord:
- Have a personal relationship with Him. Talk to God as if He is your best friend. Even though He knows, tell Him about everything going on in your life and ask Him for His guidance. Be real with Him about EVERYTHING!
- Get into the Word of God, you will learn more about God from the Bible. Study it don’t just read it. If you need help on how to read the bible send me a private email via the contact page. I will be happy to help!
- Above all, trust and believe in God. It is so easy to believe after you see the miracles at church and so on, but God needs us to believe before we see. That is faith, as you trust in God He will reveal Himself to you and you will get to know Him.
