Victory

Now he [Jesus] is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

Ephesians 1:21

What Jesus did on the cross was more than just becoming the gateway for us to access God. He completed destroyed and the defeated the devil in absolutely every area of our lives. When you understand the authority that we have through Jesus’ resurrection, you will know that really and truly the devil cannot touch us. He can only try and scare us but God has already dealt with that by giving us the spirit of a sound mind. The unfortunate thing is that so many of us do not know and understand the power that we possess and the authority that has been given to us through the death and resurrection of Christ.

When we were created, we were created to have dominion over this earth. Through the power of God, we had authority over everything on this earth, everything created by God we would speak and it would obey. However, when we committed sin, that power was taken and we no longer lived in dominion. However, when Christ died and rose Jesus restored back that authority and dominion to us through the Holy Spirit. This means that whenever you face a situation of a trail, the truth is you’ve already overcome it through Christ. There is nothing that should keep you awake at night or worried because before that situation even manifested it was dealt with on the cross.

As a Christian, every day is a battle to do the right thing and live a life pleasing to God, but with Christ, those battles are already one. Through Christ, we have the power of sin, addiction or whatever you may be going through. But it is for you to exercise that authority and become the person that God has called you to be.

Something to remember is that when you are fighting (spiritually speaking) you need to fight from a place of victory and from a place of a conqueror because that is exactly who you are – a victor in Christ Jesus. In fact, the bible says that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. When you start believing in the words and promises of God your life will change for the better because truly in Christ there is nothing that goes on in your life that is out of your control. You just have to wake up your spirit and get filled with God.

Don’t be robbed of your authority and power through ignorance, study the Word of God, especially the book of Ephesians. Pray for God to reveal His word to you and as your study, I pray that God will enlighten you on who He is and your identity in Him, and the victory that you already have through Grace. Amen
